Our mission is to enrich entire families through partnerships and services that create a safe, healthy, and connected community. Families Forward Resource Center (FFRC) is a full service community service center providing supportive services and programs to northeast Denver and north Aurora metro areas. FFRC has been serving the far northeast communities in the Aurora/Denver metro area for over 20 years. As one of 32 family resource centers through Family Resource Center Association, FFRC operates as a collaborative organization and in partnership with other family resource centers in Colorado.
Position Summary
The Community and Family Development Manager is a management position at Families Forward Resource Center and will report to the Executive Director. The right candidate needs to have a skill set focusing on programmatic details and supervisory experience. The position will prepare departmental budgets and reports, and ensure that project goals and milestones are met and adhere to approved budgets. The position will supervise family advocates, and manage the day-to-day performance of their jobs, provide coaching and support to family advocates. This position is also required to support the organization in meeting Family Resource Center Association member requirements, especially data reporting. This manager role will have an impact on our organization and community.
Essential Functions
- Provide oversite of Community and Family Development programs, and create a promotion plan for increased participation in the Community and Family Development programs. The Manager will be required to participate and guide implementation of the plan.
- Provide oversite of Community and Family Development programs case work, including knowledge of program requirements and processes.
- Complete Family Development Credentials training and supervise timely completion of data requirements of Family Resource Center Association.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences relating to Family and Community
Development, Family Resource Center, and Families Forward Resource Center.
- Cultivate and maintain partnerships with outside organizations to expand program or participant referral opportunities.
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate employees of the Community and Family
Development programs.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, foundation, and corporate grant requests by providing ideas, information, and review of narrative, goals and budgets.
- Work with management team on the maintenance of a yearly program calendar,
objectives, outcomes, goals and relevant issues pertaining to Community and Family programs.
- Manage program budget.
- Maintain a professional attitude and adhere to a high level of confidentiality towards participants and Families Forward Resource Center’s staff and stakeholders.
- Provide support to fundraising efforts and special events.
Qualifications
- Master of Social Work.
- Experience running, developing and managing programs and services.
- Supervisory experience and is actively involved in promoting behavioral change. Coaching is directed and educational
- Experience with working with diverse communities.
Work Schedule and Compensation
- This position is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. This position has flexibility as to which workdays per week (i.e. five 8 hour days or four 10 hour days).
- Compensation Range: $55,000 – $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
- Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position is mostly remote. When restrictions are lifted, the position may shift to in-office for the majority of the time. CNDC has a
